En las rutas de la provincia de Córdoba, la Policía Caminera implementa controles de alcoholemia a los conductores de vehículos. A través de la “tolerancia cero”, se sanciona fuertemente cualquier grado de alcohol en sangre.
La medida, que tiene voces a favor como en contra, ha logrado que los automovilistas se cuiden al momento de beber y conducir. Lamentablemente esta rigurosidad en la aplicación de la “tolerancia cero” no tiene correlato con el consumo de estupefacientes.
¡Qué contrariedad!: no se puede conducir con alcohol en sangre, pero sí se puede hacerlo habiendo consumido cualquier tipo de droga, ya que no existe una política de control, detección y sanción de los casos de conducción bajo los efectos de tales substancias.
La dificultad operativa, la complejidad legal y el costo del sistema con aparatología específica, parecen ser los motivos por los cuales no se le pone un “tope a las drogas” en el tránsito vehicular.
Actualmente, los policías sólo pueden actuar ante un conductor que, por su estado, evidencie no estar en condiciones de manejar, ya que no tienen las herramientas ni existe una política tendiente a enfrentar esta problemática tan compleja.
Lo cierto es que cualquier persona puede conducirse manejando cualquier tipo de vehículo por las rutas cordobesas habiendo consumido cocaína, ácidos o habiendo abusado en el consumo de drogas de curso legal, que también pueden resultar peligrosas.
El sentido común indica que debiera haber un control en este sentido, para evitar que se maneje en condiciones de riesgo.
